Dr. Daniel Gerry
Dr. Gerry is a devoted husband and father, as well as a native to the Augusta area. He served with distinction in the United States Air Force following the events of September 11th, 2001, where he specialized in aeromedical evacuation and flight medicine. He returned to civilian life to complete his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Augusta University before pursuing a career in medicine.
He graduated 1st in his class from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2013, where he was awarded a number of honors for research, academic excellence and devotion to patient care, including early induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and the prestigious Arnold P. Gold honor society’s Humanism in Medicine award. He completed his surgical residency at the Medical College of Georgia’s program in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in 2018, and now works with Dr. Sheehan and Dr. Chen specializing in facial reconstructive surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. He has presented at a number of national academic conferences, has authored or co-authored more than 10 publications in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, and holds a provisional patent. He maintains ongoing research pursuits, seeking to develop further innovations in the field of facial cosmetic surgery.
